How Do We Conduct Tree at-Height Bat Inspections?

Our team of experienced and licensed bat surveyors and tree climbers utilize a combination of techniques to provide a thorough assessment:

• Ground Level Inspections: Each tree is assessed from the ground using high-powered binoculars. This enables the tree climbers to target only trees in which potential roosting features have been identified. 

• At-Height Tree Inspections: Using specialist climbing equipment, our surveyors meticulously examine trees at height for potential bat entry points, such as cracks, crevices, and woodpecker holes.

• Endoscope Inspections: If necessary, endoscopes are used to look into tight spaces and confirm the presence or absence of bats or bat roost features.

• Identify Bat Signs: Our experts can expertly identify bat droppings, feeding remains, and other subtle signs of roosting activity.
